Cover of Orange County North Carolina Summary of Agricultural Resources with photos of a green farm field, a farmers market, and cattle in a field

The Economic Development Department created a 48-page summary booklet identifying the agricultural themed resources (federal, state county, nonprofits) that are available to our local farmers, food processors and related agricultural operations here in Orange County. This may be the first such resource for the County to present a comprehensive listing of all known agricultural programs, agencies, financial assistance programs and related initiatives. We will update and correct the information as required. Staff from Economic Development was assisted in the preparation of the booklet by other County departments,  NC State ‘s Cooperative Extension, State of NC and federal groups, and nonprofits.
