Pesticide Training Continued Education ‘V’ Credit Only

Orange County is offering 2 hours of ‘V’ pesticide training (2 hours of Continued Education Credits) on March 3, 2020, starting at 6 p.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Orange County office in the food lab.

Normally farmers obtain enough ‘X’ credits during the annual Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) meeting with their specialty crops such as tobacco, pasture management, small grain growers field day, etc.

I will offer both ‘X’ and ‘V’ continued education again in September for those who are not able to attend this meeting. That training will be offered sometime in September. Continue to check back with this office closer to September to inquire about the date of the training.

You can check on the status of your license or other class availability online or call the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Section at (919)733-3556 if you have questions about your license.

No registration necessary for the class on March 3, just show up.

If you need to contact your local agent in Orange County for anything, call (919) 245-2062. Leave a message if I don’t answer. I’ll call you back.
