All private pesticide license applicators are required to obtain two hours of “V” training and two hours of “X” training for recertification. N.C. Cooperative Extension of Surry County and the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services are offering various opportunities to help you achieve this requirement. Due to COVID-19, there will be several online Pesticide Recertification classes instead of in-person for credits “X” and “V”. For those that prefer in-person training, there will be one opportunity for Surry County applicators to obtain one hour of “X” training. This training is limited to only 25 Surry County residents.

Private pesticide applicators who need these credits to maintain their license beyond 2020 must complete recertification training by November 30, 2020. All participants MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. Register early to reserve your spot. In order to receive credit, participants must have their computer camera on for the duration of the training. Participants should also have their pesticide license numbers available during the meeting. Those with questions should contact the hosting Extension agent.
