We are excited to start off our new 4-H year which officially began on January 1, 2024!! In order to continue as a 4-H member/volunteer or submit a new enrollment for the 2024 year and participate in any 4-H activities or events, you must complete an application through 4HOnline 2.0. The 4HOnline system will be open for you to re-enroll starting on January 9, 2024. Please see the PDFs below for instructions on how to enroll (for new members) or re-enroll through 4HOnline.

Enroll Now Button

NEW MEMBERS:  If this is your first time enrolling in the 4-H program, please see the PDF called “4-H Family-Guide.”  You will need a family profile in order to submit new 4-H member and volunteer applications. Once your family profile is set up, please submit a 4-H member enrollment for each child in your family.

RETURNING 4-H MEMBERS:  If you were enrolled in the 4-H program in 2023, you can simply log in to 4HOnline 2.0, review your information, make necessary changes, and complete your insurance and medical information to re-enroll. You should be able to re-enroll in less than 5 minutes…yay!!! For instructions on re-enrolling 4-H members for 4-H, please visit: 4HOnline Member Re-enroll

VOLUNTEERS:   All volunteers must complete this process as well. Those volunteers who have not had a background screening through the Buncombe Extension office in the last 3 years, will need to complete that process in addition to submitting an updated volunteer application. Information regarding the screening process will be provided to you upon receiving your application renewal through 4HOnline 2.0. Volunteer profiles will take 20 – 25 minutes which includes the annual required training video. For instructions on enrolling as a 4-H Volunteer, please visit: 4HOnline Volunteer Re-enroll.

Only youth members and 4-H volunteers who are enrolled in 4-HOnline 2.0 will be considered active members and / or certified 4-H volunteers. Active status will be required for individuals to participate in 4-H member activities, events, programs, 4-H trips as well as for participation as a 4-H volunteer leader.

If you have any questions or troubles with this process, please contact me at kristi_griggs@ncsu.edu or at the Swain Extension office at (828) 488-3848.
