Dig Deeper with Us, Join the Orange County Master Gardeners for our Saturday series of lectures and workshops to enhance your gardening knowledge and pick up free seeds. All events in this series are free and open to gardeners at all levels of experience. Saturdays 2:00–3:30 p.m. 2022: Sept 17: Biodiversity, October 15: Beyond Daffodils, November 19: Everything Tools. 2023: January 21: Winter Sowing, February 18: Shade Gardening, March 18: Straw Bale Gardening.

Join us for “Dig Deeper” talks on September 17 at 2 p.m. at the Orange County Library in Hillsborough.

The Extension Master Gardeners℠ of Orange County will resume their monthly “Dig Deeper
With Us” series about gardening.

September’s topic is “Biodiversity: Using Native Plants to Support Bees,
Beneficial Insects, Butterflies and Birds.” We’ll talk about creatures that
benefit our ecosystems and how to encourage them.

You’ll learn how to select native plants and how to arrange them in your landscape to help pollinators. There will be time for questions. Speakers will be Master
Gardeners Faye McNaull, Julee Herbert and Maggie Scarborough.

The Community Seed Library team, sponsored by the Master Gardeners, will have free seed packets available for attendees and the seed library team will talk about their work.

Topics for other Dig Deeper talks (all are 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the  Orange county library in Hillsborough) are:
