safe platesSafe Plates for Managers is a food safety training course developed by NC State University. This program prepares all those who work in the foodservice industry and particularly those seeking food protection manager certification for the ANSI-approved  Food Protection Manager Certification exam.Managers successfully completing the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals Certified Professional Food Manager Exam meet the FDA Food Code 2017 requirement for a Certified Food Protection Manager. This certificate not only meets the same requirement in North Carolina but it is also good throughout the United States for five years.

Class (2 days) Monday October 2 | 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Monday October 9 | 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Exam Monday October 16 | 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Location: Solid Waste Management Administration Center 1207 Eubanks Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 (off of I-40)

Registration Fee for Class: $135 (includes the cost of the manual, handouts, study materials, and exam)

Exam only: $55*

*An exam-only option is available but space is limited; priority is given to those taking the course
