Registrations take 3-5 business days to process. Pick up a registration form at either senior center; or download the form from the website and return form to the front desk at the senior center where you prefer to have lunch. Daily meal tickets are distributed on a first come, first serve basis from 11:15 until 11:45 a.m.

  • Program provides a monthly box of food to supplement the nutritional needs of low-income older adults. People who qualify may designate someone to pick up the approximately 32-40lb. box of food each month
  • Pick Up Locations:  Passmore (103 Meadowlands Dr, Hillsborough) and Seymour (2551 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill) Centers. For additional pick-up locations, call 919-245-4243. 919-245-4243

  • Annual household income guidelines are: 1 member - $1,957 per month or less; 2 members - $2,644 per month or less. Other household members may be eligible to qualify. Additional household members can factor into income eligibility allowing for higher incomes.

Double Bucks Program at Local Farmers Markets

  • Double your purchase up to $25 to purchase fresh food at Carrboro Farmers Market, Chapel Hill Farmers Market, and Eno River Farmers Market.  Visit individual market websites for open dates and times.
  • You must participate in these programs in order to qualify for Double Bucks:
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
    • WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (WIC FMNP)

Meals typically delivered between 10:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M. on weekdays.  The recipient must be home during delivery time to receive a meal.
Complete online application or call 919-942-2948. There is a sliding scale for fees depending upon applicant need. No applicant will be turned away due to the inability to pay for the service. Serves older adults over the age of 60, homebound adults and those convalescing in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and rural Orange County, who do not have access to, or the ability to prepare, healthy meals. People of all incomes may be eligible.
