Orange County Cooperative Extension, in partnership with Orange County 4-H clubs, will be taking orders for blueberry plants from February 15 until March 25. All purchases will help the Cooperative Extension team and 4-H clubs fund activities related to professional development and capacity building in the areas of agriculture and food, family & consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, and community & rural development.
Orange County Cooperative Extension Blueberry Plant Sale
All plants sold are to be free from disease, insects, and injurious pests. Orange County Cooperative Extension is not responsible for the survival of plants and will not be responsible for the results secured in transplanting. Please follow proper planting guidelines. A soil test is highly recommended before planting to ensure proper soil pH. If you have any questions concerning proper ground preparation or planting methods, please contact the Orange County Cooperative Extension Center at 919-245-2050 prior to pick up dates to speak to Horticulture Agent Mart Bumgarner. Plants will be available for pick up from the Bonnie B Davis Environment & Agricultural Center on April 16 and 17 from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Advance payment is required. For those paying by cash or check, send or deliver payments (cash or check) to: Orange County Cooperative Extension, Attn: Blueberry Sale, P.O. Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Make checks payable to Orange County Cooperative Extension. Make sure the name on the check or the check purpose includes the name of the person on this order. You can also deliver payment in person to the Extension Center located in the Bonnie B Davis Environment & Agricultural Center located at 1020 US Hwy 70 W, Hillsborough (across from the Division of Motor Vehicles).
