Are you interested in adding agritourism activities on your farm, but not sure where to start? Join us for a morning all about agritourism!
Join us in person to learn how to turn your farm assets into fun and profitable agritourism adventures!
This workshop is designed for farmers to learn about agritourism, explore its feasibility for their farms, and learn the steps to get started.
We'll have both NC State Tourism Extension’s Ann Savage and NC Farm School’s Derek Washburn with us to walk through what agritourism can be on your farm and how to get started.
What we will cover in this workshop:
We’ll kick things off with an introduction to agritourism and how to assess if it is a good fit for your farm business. Then we’ll move into more specifics on developing and sustaining a business concept, identifying business resources, addressing risks, and launching and growing your business through customer experiences and marketing. You’ll also walk away with a list of next steps.
Come ready to share your agritourism aspirations! We look forward to helping you explore whether agritourism is right for you!
$10 fee will include materials and snacks.
This work is supported by the Extension Capacity Fund (Smith-Lever 3(b) and 3(c)), project award no. 7007438, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture
