  • Program provides a monthly box of food to supplement the nutritional needs of low-income older adults. People who qualify may designate someone to pick up the approximately 32-40lb. box of food each month
  • Pick Up Locations:  Passmore (103 Meadowlands Dr, Hillsborough) and Seymour (2551 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill) Centers. For additional pick-up locations, call 919-245-4243.

  • Double your purchase up to $50 to purchase fresh food at Carrboro Farmers Market, Chapel Hill Farmers Market, and Eno River Farmers Market. Visit individual market websites for open dates and times.
  • You must participate in these programs in order to qualify for Double Bucks:
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
    • WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (WIC FMNP)

There is a sliding scale for fees depending upon applicant need. Serves older adults over the age of 60, homebound adults and those convalescing in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and rural Orange County, who do not have access to, or the ability to prepare, healthy meals. People of all incomes may be eligible.
