Mark your calendar for PlantFest 2026, the annual plant sale and garden festival hosted by the NC State Extension Master Gardener SM  volunteers of Orange County.

PlantFest is on Saturday, Oct. 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Blackwood Farm Park, north of Chapel Hill. Parking will be available at the park entrance on New Hope Church Road. Disability parking will be available at the main park entrance, at 4215 NC-86, Chapel Hill, NC. New this year: A free shuttle will take people from the parking area to the event and back.

There will be a huge plant sale (many beautiful native plants). The plants were grown by our Master Gardener volunteers. Each plant has a QR code to scan for more information; also, volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. Get there early for the best selection!

We’ll have hands-on kids’ activities, helpful gardening exhibits and demonstrations, lots of plant and garden information, food, free seed packets, booths hosted by partner organizations, and more!
