Greensboro, N.C. – NC A&T State University Extension announced that Jordan Forbis is completing an Extension internship this summer with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Orange County Center.

"Working in agriculture is a goal of mine, though before starting this internship, I had almost no experience in the field", says Forbis. "Since interning at Orange County Cooperative, I have already learned so much, and I am excited to continue to learn throughout my time here!"

"Jordan comes to us from UNCG with an interest in business and agriculture and we are excited to show her what we in Cooperative Extension do on a daily basis to support both right here in Orange County", says Orange County Extension Director Jonathon Smith.  "Jordan has incredible drive to make a positive contribution through her internship and has already been involved in developing content to promote the W.C. Breeze Farm Incubator, coordinating a community gardens survey, and expanding our capacity in the area of food security through program development.  Jordan has also helped with County emergency preparedness discussions and will assist us with a community food security assessment, among other projects."

Forbis is a junior at UNC Greensboro majoring in International Business, and is a native of Graham, North Carolina.
