All area youth ages 8-18 (as of January 1, 2021) who are interested in dogs are invited to an interest meeting on Thursday, September 9, at the Bonnie B. Davis Environment & Agricultural Center located at 1020 US Hwy 70 W, Hillsborough, NC 27278. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

This new 4-H club will be all about dogs and companion animals. This is a great opportunity for any youth that wants to learn about dog care, showing dogs, dog training, and more! In addition, members will participate in community service projects and citizenship activities. If your child is already enrolled in 4-H in Orange County, log into your 4-H Online account, click on your child’s name, and then click on the Events tab. You’ll see a link there to sign your child up to attend this interest meeting.

If your child is not already enrolled in 4-H, you can complete that process easily. See the Enrollment page for more information. Once we approve his or her membership, you’ll be able to sign them up at that time. Note that the Piedmont Performance Dog Club is not yet listed as a Club to join. We will open that up after the meeting. For now, select Orange Members At Large as their Club.

Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting with their students.

If you have any questions about the new club, contact Colleen Goularte at 919-448-5083 or sgrdogs@gmail.com.
