4-H OHM SQUARE CHESS CLUB

Emphasis: Chess

About: This club meets on Sundays at the Drakeford Library in Carrboro.

Youth: Primarily K-5 or youth who are beginner/intermediate chess players. Limited to 15 youth members. First come, first served.

BACKROAD SHARP SHOOTERS

Emphasis: Shooting Sports

About: This club focuses on firearm and archery safety and skills in preparation for district, state, and national shooting sports tournaments. The club practices throughout the year and meeting times vary based upon season. CULBRETH MIDDLE SCHOOL JUNTOS 4-H CLUB

Emphasis: JUNTOS/College Readiness/Healthy Living

About: This club is for students last Culbreth Middle School. “Juntos (pronounced “Who-n-toes”) means “Together” in Spanish and works to unite community partners to provide Latino students grades 8-12th and their parents with knowledge, skills, and resources to ensure high school graduation and broaden post-secondary career and academic opportunities.”

Emphasis: General

About: This new club for ECHHS Students is currently exploring teen 4-H opportunities including 4-H Presentations and the Application, Interview, Resume, Essay (AIRE) contest. This club also coordinates service projects on and near campus.
