Who Should Take This Class?

Safe Plates for Managers is a food safety training course developed by NC State University. This class is for food service managers and supervisory staff at restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, and other food-handling establishments that need to meet the 2017 FDA Food Code and the NC Food Code requirements for food safety and sanitation grading. Those who pass the test for Food Safety Managers, become Certified Managers. This certification is good for 5 years anywhere in the United States.

Registration Fee for Class: $135 (includes the cost of the manual, handouts, study materials, and exam)

Exam only: $55*

*An exam-only option is available but, since space is limited, priority is given to those taking the course
