Safe Plates is an evidence-based, interactive food safety program developed by NC State University Extension. This course is designed to prepare participants for the ANSI-accredited exam from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.

Course Schedule & Requirements
This is a two-part course. To be able to take the exam, participants must attend both instruction dates.
- Part 1: Monday, April 13 | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Part 2: Monday, April 20 | 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- The Exam: Monday, April 27 | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Location: Bonnie B Davis Center 1020 US-70 W, Suite 130 Hillsborough, NC 27278 (located across from the Hillsborough DMV)
Please note: There is a one-hour lunch break (on your own) during the full-day sessions.
Registration & Fees
Registration closes on April 9th by the end of the day.
The total cost for the course is $150.00. This includes all instruction materials and the certification exam. Exam only options are not available at this time.
