To All North Carolina Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers

This notice is hereby given that a check-off referendum will be held on:

Wednesday, January 30, 2019

In each flue-cured producing county in

North Carolina

  • The referendum will be conducted by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service.
  • Polling places will be open during normal business hours at each flue-cured producing County N.C. Cooperative Extension office.
  • Other polling places may be announced by the County N.C. Cooperative Extension office.

Flue-cured tobacco growers will vote on continuing their support of export promotion and expansion for US flue-cured tobacco by Tobacco Associates, INC. for the marketing years 2019, 2020, and 2021. The referendum will include the question of continuance of the authorization of annual assessments not to exceed one-fifth (1/5) of one cent per pound. The exact assessment to be approved by the North Carolina Tobacco Associates Board members.
