How Local Farmers Can Impact a Child’s Life?

— Written By

Have you ever heard a child say that lettuce comes from the grocery store? How often do you think children are exposed to the concept of farm to table?

Mom and child talking with farmer at farmers market.Research shows that individuals who purchase local fresh fruits and vegetables eat a greater variety of vegetables, and consume more vegetables themselves, as well as their children. Also offering local foods in school cafeterias has shown to increase how often students eat fruits and vegetables.

This is why the Orange County Farm to Early Care & Education Collaborative invites you to participate in this short 5-minute survey about forming business relationships with local child care centers.
