Description:

Take Your Skills To The Next Level
Compete in 4-H Presentations this year!

Do you want to become a more confident speaker?  Do you have a passion for livestock, companion animals, cooking,  the environment, art, or another topic and want to share that passion with others?

The North Carolina 4-H Presentations Program is a public speaking and demonstration contest for 4-H members ages 5-18. Participating 4-Hers will have the opportunity to dig deep into their topics of interest, develop a speech, receive coaching and advice from 4-H professionals, and deliver those presentations at the local, district, and state levels.  Participants earn awards and recognition throughout.

Whether this is your first time presenting or you have participated many times in the past, we want YOU to be a part of this contest this year.

Age divisions are as follows: Cloverbud (5-7), 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18.

Come learn more about the program on Thursday, May 2, on Zoom.  We'll answer your questions and help you get started.  County practice sessions will be held on May 16 and May 20.  The first contest is in Greensboro on June 15.  The state contest for those that place 1st or 2nd (ages 8-18 only) at the district level will be on July 23 at NC State University.

Register for this workshop (Event) on 4-H Online by May 1 and we'll send you the Zoom link before the meeting.
If you have any questions in advance, contact 4-H Agent Jonathon Smith at 919-245-2057 or jonathon_smith@ncsu.edu.
