2025 AG SUMMIT Flyer

As world leaders address the challenge of feeding the earth’s growing population, Orange County is providing entrepreneurs with both the inspiration and the resources to find solutions.

Each year, Orange County Government and its North Carolina Cooperative Extension center hosts a one-day seminar bringing together farmers and suppliers, government officials, and other specialists to explore the state of farming in Orange County and contiguous counties, discussing topics and trends that are impacting our agricultural industry.

This year, the Orange County Agricultural Summit will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, beginning at 8 a.m. at Cedar Grove Community Center. The conference concludes at 2 p.m. after a complimentary lunch – locally sourced, of course.

The 2025 Summit will explore, among other issues…

  • Advances in Agriculture Technology
  • Diversifying Production with Specialty Crops
  • Alternative Grazing Management Practices
  • New Farmer Networking Session
  • Emergency Preparedness Planning for Farms
  • Updates from Partners
  • and more!

A plenary session after lunch will provide an opportunity for updates from the staff of the Orange County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension. Come learn about the programs of Cooperative Extension in Orange County from agriculture, economic development, family & consumer sciences, and youth development. Howling Cow Ice Cream (NC State University’s famous ice cream) will be served.

Agriculture is a vital part of the economy and quality of life in Orange County.

In addition to updates, regional vendors will display their goods and services.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for February 17. All registrants will be notified in advance should a change of date be required.

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, N.C. Cooperative Extension will honor requests for reasonable accommodations made by individuals with disabilities. Please direct accommodation requests to Jonathon Smith at jonathon_smith@ncsu.edu or 919-245-2057. Requests can be served more effectively if notice is provided at least 10 days before the event.

Registration will open on January 1. Register Online Here by February 7.
