Description:
The 4-H Feather Classic is a regional 4-H poultry project and show for youth residing in the North Carolina counties of Caswell, Durham, Orange, and Person.

Participating youth in grades K-12 will raise six chicks at home and then exhibit three of their pullets (young laying hens) at the show in October (date TBD). Along the way, youth will learn animal care and handling skills, participate in webinars to learn more about poultry science, and complete a 4-H project record book. Awards will be presented at the show.

Information sessions will be held on January 17 at 4:00 P.M. and February 13 at 6:00 P.M.  Both meetings will be conducted on Zoom and will be exactly the same.  Please consider attending one of these information sessions before registering so you can learn more about the program and ask questions. We'll also be discussing the chicken breeds available this year.
